The most popular one is the Renault Scala, costing 8.58 lakhs and the Nissan Sunny, priced at 7.58 lakhs. The Premier Rio, costing 5-6.59 lakhs, and Fiat Avventura, costing 6.57-7.46 lakhs are also very good cars, giving value for money. The Volkswagen Vento is an amazingly accepted car in this group, since it is a very good quality car, for 7.85-11.87 lakhs.
The slightly pricier cars
Since India is a country with people of higher income groups also, there are several cars to suit such people as well, like the Skoda Rapid, giving a mileage of 14.3 km/l, coasting between 10.2-10.5 lakhs. The Hyundai 4S Fluidic Verna, costing up to 12.5 lakhs, with a mileage of 17.1 km/l , the Toyota Corolla Altis, ranging from 13.3-18 lakhs, giving a mileage of 14.28 km/l, Volkswagen Jetta, priced between 13.7-19.5 lakhs, with a mileage of 14.69 km/l, the Hyundai Elantra, costing 14.7-18.6 lakhs, giving a mileage of 16.3 km/l and the Skoda Octavia, costing 16-21.7 lakhs, with a mileage of 16.8 km/l, are excellent buys, in this income segment.
The premium cars
Catering to the rich of the country, there are quite a few cars, available within the range of 20-50 lakhs. The most popular car is the Audi A6, costing 44.1-45.2 lakhs, with a mileage of 15.26 km/l, which is very good, for this segment. The next, in terms of popularity are the Jaguar XF, costing about 47 lakhs, and the Mercedes Benz-B Class-new, costing between 29.45-30.45 lakhs, giving mileage of 12 km/l and 14.3 km/l, respectively. The Mini-convertible, at 33.90 lakhs, with a mileage of 15.6 km/l is also amazing.
The luxury cars
The cars which cost over 1 crore, are Aston Martin Vanquish, Ferrari California T, Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes Benz-S Class, Maserati GranCabrio, Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe, Audi R8 and BMW 7- Series.
